Rest only in God

In life, it’s easy to become overwhelmed by the weight of our worries and struggles. But the Bible reminds us to rest in God alone. When we place our trust in Him, He is our refuge and our peace. As Psalm 62:1-2 says:

"My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress, I will never be shaken."
(Psalm 62:1-2)

This verse speaks of finding peace and security in God, not in our circumstances or the things of this world. Our true rest comes from trusting in His sovereignty, His goodness, and His faithfulness. When we rest in God, we acknowledge that He is in control and that His plan for us is always for our good.

Resting in God doesn't mean we stop acting or solving problems. It means we let go of our anxiety and put our full trust in Him to guide us through every trial. He is our strength in times of weakness, our peace in times of chaos, and our hope when we feel lost.

Let us take time to rest in God, to place all our worries in His hands, and to find our peace in His presence. As we do, we will experience His comfort and His assurance that He will never leave us or forsake us.

Prayer:
Lord, teach me to rest in You alone. Help me to trust in Your perfect plan for my life, knowing that You are my refuge and my strength. In Your presence, I find peace. In Jesus' name, amen.
