Yes, the Lord has done great things for us, and that fills us with joy.
- Psalm 126:3
Sometimes we are sad with the feeling that nothing is progressing in our life. We look at situations and everything seems stagnant. But if we look closely, we can see and recognize all the things the Lord has already done.
A good way to turn away the sadness and rejoice is to recognize all that God has already done for us. Besides helping us to be honest with ourselves, it leads us to recognize what God has done in our lives and brings us closer to the Father's arms. In the same way that we like to be acknowledged when we do something, God also expects us to acknowledge his deeds and what he does for us.
The more we are thankful the less we claim. And the more we rejoice in the Lord the stronger we become.
Let us do this exercise of gratitude and rejoice in what the Lord does.
Rejoice in the Lord and notice what he has done:
Remember all that the Lord has done in your life. Remember all the things or situations that God has delivered you from.
Before asking for anything, give thanks to God. Our trust in God grows when we recognize what he has already done.
Cultivate a thankful heart. When we learn to thank God we learn to thank people.
Lord Jesus, today I want to thank you for all the things you have done in my life. how many blessings, how much deliverance! Without your favor I would not be where I am. I trust in you and I know that when you work, no one can stop you. How many things you have done for me! For this I am joyful today. Thank you, beloved Father. Amen.
