The Lord is good to those who trust in him, to all who seek him. It is good to wait quietly for the Lord to come and save us.
(Lamentations 3:25-26)

There are times when we fail to perceive the goodness of God on our behalf. Sufferings try to disorient and take away the peace of those who are facing the storms of life. It is precisely there that we must have hope and trust in God! Problems, afflictions and fears cannot disturb the faith of the one who surrenders to the Lord and places all his hope in him.

Do not trust in circumstances or in your feelings in relation to reality. The heart deceives. Situations change, we change. Only God alone remains eternally faithful! Decide to trust the Lord even when all is not going well.

The Bible says that God is good to those who seek and believe in him. Try to believe in the goodness of the Lord even in difficult times, even if you are sad and cannot understand or perceive that he is on your side.

Remember that God is good all the time.

• Read and meditate. God's Word brings help and relief to troubled hearts.
• Pray believing in the goodness of the Lord.
• Wait quietly until God's salvation and help comes.
• Rest your heart in the grace of Christ - He will never forsake you!

For prayer:
Lord God, thank you for your goodness and faithfulness. I need your help, Father. Help me with my little faith. Teach me to believe before I see. I want to put my hope in you without ever doubting. You are always good and faithful. Do not let my heart turn away from you. In Jesus' name, amen.
