“…that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, and then to the Twelve. After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles, and last of all he appeared to me also, as to one abnormally born.”

Many people have had to prove they are alive. It may sound strange, but it’s quite common for those who need to show pension or financial institutions that they are still living. Often, all it takes is for the person to show up in person and present their face.

For both Christians and non-believers, it’s a historical fact that Jesus truly existed. Even non-Christian historians recorded details about the Lord’s death and resurrection. The Bible assures us that, after rising from the dead, Jesus appeared to his 12 disciples — and not only to them but also to more than 500 people, all of whom could easily testify to it.
Hold fast to this hope: Jesus!
Our faith is not based on a dead god. The cross and the tomb are empty as proof. Jesus Christ is alive! That is the foundation of our hope and what fuels the Christian faith each day.

Thomas said he needed to see in order to believe — and many still feel the same way. Jesus not only appeared to Thomas, but also invited him to touch His wounds.
Don’t doubt like Thomas — truly believe!

Lord God, I believe that Jesus is alive! I believe He came to bring us eternal life and that, although He died in my place, He rose again for Your glory and praise.
Thank You for the countless proofs of life that Christ gives us in the Bible and through His daily walk beside us. You are worthy of praise for the thousands of reasons we have to trust in You and in Your love.
Thank You for the life we have in Christ Jesus. Amen.
