Giving Thanks to the Lord
How good it is to give thanks to you, O Lord,
So They Don't Forget
But be careful! Pay attention and do not forget the things your eyes have seen, nor let them slip from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and your grandchildren.
Everything We Need
By His divine power, in giving us the knowledge of the one who called us by His own glory and excellence, He has granted us everything we need to live as God commands.
Face your dilemma with obedience
When the wine ran out, Jesus' mother said to him, "They have no more wine."
God present
The Almighty Lord is with us; our refuge is the God of Jacob. Selah
God who comes in affliction
In their distress they cried out to the Lord,
The one who remains in love, remains in God.
And we have come to know and believe the love that God has for us. God is love. Whoever remains in love remains in God, and God in him. (1 John 4:16)
God is good all the time
The Lord is good to those who trust in him, to all who seek him. It is good to wait quietly for the Lord to come and save us.
Freeing ourselves from the burden of anxiety
How do we surrender our anxiety to God? Through prayer and communion with him. Moments of prayer give us the opportunity to be intimate with God to talk to him about what is troubling us. We can tell God what is causing us anxiety and ask for his help. When we lay everything before him in prayer and trust in his promises the Lord frees us from that burden.
The Lord is with you
When the angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon, he said to him, "The Lord is with you, brave warrior!
We trust in God!

Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget none of his benefits.
It is better to give than to receive

A wonderful prayer in the midst of pain
Jabes was more important than his brothers. When his mother gave him that name, she said, "In affliction have I borne him".
All will be well
You, dear children, are of God and have overcome those false prophets, for he who is in you is mightier than he who is in the world.
Salt in the salt shaker?
You are the salt of the earth. But if salt becomes tasteless, how will it regain its flavor? It is no longer good for anything but for people to throw out and trample underfoot.
God is our refuge in the midst of persecution.
David was alarmed, for the troops spoke of stoning him; for they were all bitter at the loss of their sons and daughters. But he took courage and put his trust in the LORD his God.
Devotional
You love him even though you have not seen him; and, though you do not see him now, you believe in him and rejoice with an indescribable and glorious joy, for you are obtaining the goal of your faith, which is your salvation.
I am not ashamed of the gospel
1:16,17 In these verses the apostle opens the design of the whole epistle, in which he advances a charge of sin against all flesh; declares the only method of deliverance from condemnation, by faith in the mercy of God, through Jesus Christ; and relies upon that purity of heart, thankful obedience, and sincere desires to improve in all those graces and Christian encouragements, which more than a living faith in Christ can make real. God is a just and holy God, and we are guilty sinners. There is a righteousness as brought by the Messiah, and made known in the gospel; a gracious method of acceptance, in spite of the guilt of our sins. It is the righteousness of Christ, who is God, which comes from a satisfaction of infinite value. Faith is all in all, both in the beginning and the progress of the Christian life. It is not from faith to works, as if faith put us in a state of justification, and then works kept us in it; but it is all along from faith to faith; it is faith pressing…
Devotional
Jesus said that our light is not necessarily in the testimony of our words, but in the testimony of our deeds-our "good works." "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father who is in heaven."
Obedience
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever. - Psalm 111:10
